Anthurium Warocqueanum, also known as the Queen Anthurium, is a stunning tropical plant native to South America, specifically French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, and Venezuela. The plant features large, dark green, velvety leaves with prominent white veins and an elongated heart-shaped appearance that can grow up to 3 feet in length. The plant's most prominent feature is the large, velvety, red spathes that emerge from the base of the plant, producing beautiful yellow flowers on the spadix.
To care for an Anthurium Warocqueanum, it is best to place the plant in bright, indirect light and maintain a consistent temperature of around 65 to 80°F. The soil should be kept moist but not soggy, and the plant should be fertilized regularly during the growing season. Additionally, the plant should be kept in a humid environment, with a humidity level of at least 60%. This can be achieved through the use of a humidifier or by placing the plant on a pebble tray. It is also important to avoid direct sunlight and overwatering the plant, as this can cause damage to the foliage.
